Editorial Policy
This page explains how SignalVetted selects topics, evaluates products, and maintains our content.
How we select what to cover
We choose what to cover based on genuine reader search demand, whether the available information can provide useful decision-making value to a reader, the availability of credible evidence and sources to support a thorough evaluation, and overall editorial usefulness. We do not select a topic because of the commission potential of any particular product or merchant. The internal steps we use to organize, prioritize, and schedule this work are not published here.
How we evaluate products
Our assessments draw on manufacturer specifications, independent testing and certification sources where relevant, and our own editorial research and analysis.
We do not fabricate testing, ownership experience, or data. SignalVetted has not performed genuine hands-on testing for its articles to date. Where an evaluation is based on manufacturer specifications, independent testing/certification sources, or editorial research rather than hands-on testing, we say so — we do not use language implying first-hand testing (such as “we tested,” “in our hands-on review,” “we found in real-world use,” “our lab,” or “our team measured”) unless genuine hands-on testing actually occurred for that specific piece of content.
AI-assisted drafting and human review
Content on this site is produced through a human-and-AI workflow: AI may assist in drafting articles following our research and editorial framework. Before publication, specific elements of a draft — including source citations, ratings, images, and affiliate links — require human editorial review and sign-off. We do not claim that every article goes through a human-only drafting or human-only editing process; our process combines AI assistance with human editorial involvement, in the scope described here. Where a reader would reasonably ask how a specific page was produced, that page carries its own AI-assisted-content notice.
Corrections
If you believe something we’ve published contains a factual error, please contact us by email — see Contact. This is our primary channel for correction reports.
We aim to respond to correction reports within 7 business days. This is a response-time commitment, not a guarantee that every correction will be resolved within that window — some reports require further verification.
Where we confirm a factual error that affects a recommendation or verdict, and we make a correction, we add a correction note to the article stating the date of the correction and what was changed. We do not silently edit a published article to fix a factual error that meets this threshold.
Updates to published content
Articles may be updated after publication to reflect new information, pricing, or product changes. Where shown, a “Last updated” date reflects the most recent substantive revision.
Sourcing standards
We do not present another publication’s verdicts, ratings, or recommendations as our own. Where we use test measurements or findings published by independent testing or review publications, we name the source and do not describe that work as our own testing. Technical and safety/compliance claims are sourced from manufacturers, standards bodies, or independent certification/testing registries as appropriate — never inferred from marketing material alone.
Advertising and affiliate relationships
See our Affiliate Disclosure for how affiliate relationships work and how they do not influence our recommendations.
